Although it doesn`t seem to be, the moon is actually higher in the sky in this picture than in this one. But the former image is a little more dynamic I think. As you walk closer towards the foot of the mountain the moon resets behind the ridgeline, giving the photographer another crack at the classic "moon on the horizon" shot. |
