I`ve spent many hours trawling the internet for unusual photo locations in the European Alps and some of the interesting images in the Alps galleries of this web-site are the fruits of that trawl. This research often gave me a head-start in deciding in what direction to aim my car on a Saturday morning. In this regard, landscape photographers have it easier these days than say Ansel Adams did.

I forget quite why I got out of the car at this point on the road to S-charl, but I`m glad I did. There they were, tucked nearly out of sight on the dirt cliff directly beneath the road. Hidden to all but the lucky (if you like that sort of thing).
