Some of the photos on this page were taken on an overcast day that promised little in terms of landscape photography. And in any case, with only two days left of a five week car- tour of West Canada, I was jaded and ready for home. But then this cropped up, spotted when pulling over for a pee. Unlike most other scenic wonders next to the Icefield Parkway in Banff and Jasper National Parks no roadside sign announced its presence, which made its discovery all the more special.
