The world`s 43rd largest island, and a fine one at that, deserves more than these three pictures. But a trip to Landslide Lake at the foot of Mount Colonel Foster produced nothing worth presenting here. We camped too far away from it and only saw it in backlit evening light. I should have gone back the next morning but there was bear scat everywhere. Unlike John Muir we were not up for any "interviews" with a bear, so we hotfooted it out of there.
