As I taught squash in Gothenberg for 6 months in 1983, this meagre page should be much more beefed out than it is. But three trips to Scandinavia since then have all focused on the more accessible scenic wonders of Norway. And now, with the Alps on my doorstep for comfortable two-day trips, why should I want to pack a rucksack full of a week`s food and take my chances with the fickle weather in beautiful Sarek National Park? And with a titanium plate and six screws in my throat? I don`t know why either. But I suspect in the next year or two, curiosity will again prevail over reason
